📝 General Guidelines – GSEO 2025

🎯 Eligibility

Open to students from Classes 6 to 12 across all schools in India.

🧪 Mode of Examination

    Participants may choose from the following two modes:

  • Online Mode – Attend the exam remotely via a secure digital platform.
  • Offline Mode – Conducted in school premises as the designated exam center.

🏫 Minimum Participation Requirement

  • Each school must register at least 50 students to participate in the Olympiad.

📅 Important Dates

  • Last Date for Registration: October 18, 2025
  • Mock Test (Online participants only): October 27–28, 2025
  • Main Examination: November 03–05, 2025
    (Schools may choose their preferred date and time at registration.)
  • Result Announcement: Last week of December 2025

💻 Examination Platform

  • Online: Accessible via mobile phones, tablets, laptops, or desktop computers.
  • Offline: Conducted using OMR sheets provided at the school.

🗣️ Medium of Examination

The Olympiad will be conducted in English.

❓ Question Format

  • Total Questions: 50 (25 from Science + 25 from Environmental Science)
  • Sections:
    • Section A – Science
    • Section B – Environmental Science
  • Marking Scheme: No negative marking for incorrect answers

⏱️ Duration

The total duration of the examination is 45 minutes.

📍 Examination Venue

  • The offline examination will be held within the school campus.
  • The exam will be organized and supervised by the School Coordinator.

  • After logging in, you can view your school’s registration details and student list under “My Page.”
  • Student login credentials for the online exam will also be available here.

Note: Registration is confirmed only after successful payment of the examination fee.

👨‍🎓 Student Login (Online Exam Only)

Login Instructions:

  • Go to: http://www.globescienceolympiads.org/student-login
  • Use the Student ID, Password, and Class as provided in the GSEO Admit Card (sent to the School Coordinator via email).
  • Credentials are case-sensitive – enter them exactly as shown.
  • If you are unable to log in, contact your GSEO Coordinator immediately.

💻 Attempting the Online Olympiad

🕒 Test Duration & Timer

  • The test is 45 minutes long.
  • A countdown timer on the screen will show remaining time. The test will auto-submit when time runs out.

🧭 Navigation & Question Palette

  • Use the question palette on the right to jump to any question.
  • Click “Save & Next” to save your answer and move forward.
  • Click “Mark for Review & Next” to flag a question for later, but note: marked answers are not evaluated unless saved.

⚠️ Navigating to another question without clicking “Save & Next” will discard your response.

✅ Answering Questions

  • Select your answer by clicking the desired option.
  • To change or deselect, click the option again or use “Clear Response.”
  • Always click “Save & Next” to save your response.

🔄 Section Navigation

  • The test contains multiple sections (e.g., Science & Environmental Science).
  • Switch between sections anytime using the tabs at the top.
  • After finishing one section, the system will automatically move to the next.
  • You can revisit any question or section during the exam duration.
